Auction Planning & Procurement

Presented by: Madeline Robinson, Executive Director, Wheelchairs 4 Kids. Madeline Robinson has worked in the non-profit sector in a management or executive position for the past eighteen years. She was also active in the Florida Jaycees and was recognized for her dedication and leadership skills on several occasions at the state and national level. She credits the Florida Jaycees with giving her the tools to start and run Wheelchairs 4 Kids almost 8 years ago from a spare bedroom. She has successfully grown the charity, who provides wheelchairs and home and vehicle modifications to children with disabilities, to where it is today – with integrity and fiscal responsibility. Madeline was recently paid homage at a breakfast held in her honor by the University of Tampa Ethics Center where she received the Tampa Bay Ethics Award. In February her organization was a finalist in two categories at the WEDU Be More Awards. Wheelchairs 4 Kids runs a very successful live & silent auction held each November at Ruth Eckerd Hall. She is often asked how she gets such great auction items, packages and sponsors. She will discuss the importance of mobile bidding as well as her secrets to auction planning & procurement. Check in begins at 11:45am. Program starts at 12pm. $12 for members and $20 for non-members. First time attendees are complimentary. Registrations received after Friday, April 19, will be at a rate of $17 for members and $25 for non-members.
